Saturday, October 29 - No Ivy Day at Gateway Green

Join Friends of Gateway Green and other volunteers for a morning of ivy pulling! A site owned by Portland Parks & Recreation, Gateway Green (when built) will provide bike trails, habitat enhancement, family activities and environmental education. Crowdfunding Campaign Reaches & Exceeds Goal

Many thanks to the 578 Gateway Green supporters who were very generous during the recent crowdfunding campaign, contributing $101,800 toward the construction of the new park.

Thanks to all of you, construction will start on the off-road bicycle features of the park—very soon.


Saturday October 22 Walking tour of construction at Gateway Green

Join Friends of Gateway Green’s Project Manager on Saturday, October 22 for a tour of Gateway Green to learn about the construction that is just getting started. Find out about future projects you can be a part of.

Meet at the Gateway Transit Center, near the concession stand, at 3:30 pm. We’ll walk together along the I-205 multi-use path to Gateway Green, returning to the Transit Center around 5:00 pm.

The Outer Rim Bike Shop and Gateway Brewing have teamed up to hold a “Bikes and Beer in Gateway” event the second Saturday of each month, with a portion of the proceeds from beer sales going to a community organization. The October event will be Saturday, October 8, Noon to 6:00 pm at the Outer Rim Bike Shop, with proceeds going to support the Gateway Green capital campaign. Meet Meghan and Barbara, our AmeriCorps Fellows

Meghan and Barbara joined the Gateway Green team in early September. The are participating in the AmeriCorps Fellows program, in partnership with the Confluence Environmental Center.
