Earth Day 2018 at Gateway Green

Sunday, April 22, 2018   -   9:00 am to Noon

Join Friends of Gateway Green, on Sunday April 22, to help clean up the park—and the multi-use path that leads to and borders the park. We’ll meet by the storage containers near the center of the park.

Tools, trash bags, gloves and refreshments will be provided. It’s important to dress for the weather—and bring a filled water bottle if you have one. We’ll have a job of extra water for those who need it.

Planting at Gateway Green

Monday, February 19, 2018, 1:00 to 3:00 pm   Like getting your hands dirty? Join us on President’s Day for a planting work party at Gateway Green. We’ll meet by the storage containers in the center of the park at 1:00 pm and finish up around 3:00 pm. We have at least 200 native plant seedlings to plant in the wooded area. The plants are small and the ground is soft, so it will NOT involve a lot of digging. Getting the seedlings in the ground now will give them a chance to establish roots before…

Fall Dig @ the Dirt Lab

No Ivy Day at GG - Oct 28

Gateway Green is participating in PP&R’s annual No Ivy Day. Saturday, October 28, 2017   -   9:00 am to Noon We’ve made great progress on control of the English Ivy in the wooded area. But more work is needed to prepare the park for the planting of a variety of native species in 2018. Everyone is welcome to join us in Gathering at Gateway Green -Featuring the Dirt Lab- presented by TriMet on Saturday, June 24, 11am-4pm! Big Dig @ Gateway Green
