June 24th Gathering at Gateway Green presented by TriMet - Further Details!

Everyone is welcome to join us in Gathering at Gateway Green -Featuring the Dirt Lab- presented by TriMet on Saturday, June 24, 11am-4pm! We are so excited to finally be opening the first portion of the park, the newly completed mountain biking trails, aka the Dirt Lab. This is the first phase in making Gateway Green a one-of-a-kind recreation area in East Portland to serve our entire region. Big Dig @ Gateway Green

Join us on February 11th for the Big Dig @ Dirt Lab! The Northwest Trail Alliance will be hosting the work party in collaboration with the Friends of Gateway Green - come out to help us beautify our community supported park, pull ivy and dig new trail. Saturday, October 29 - No Ivy Day at Gateway Green

Join Friends of Gateway Green and other volunteers for a morning of ivy pulling! A site owned by Portland Parks & Recreation, Gateway Green (when built) will provide bike trails, habitat enhancement, family activities and environmental education. Saturday October 22 Walking tour of construction at Gateway Green

Join Friends of Gateway Green’s Project Manager on Saturday, October 22 for a tour of Gateway Green to learn about the construction that is just getting started. Find out about future projects you can be a part of.

Meet at the Gateway Transit Center, near the concession stand, at 3:30 pm. We’ll walk together along the I-205 multi-use path to Gateway Green, returning to the Transit Center around 5:00 pm.

Saturday, October 8, Noon to 6 pm, "Bikes and Beer in Gateway"

The Outer Rim Bike Shop and Gateway Brewing have teamed up to hold a “Bikes and Beer in Gateway” event the second Saturday of each month, with a portion of the proceeds from beer sales going to a community organization. The October event will be Saturday, October 8, Noon to 6:00 pm at the Outer Rim Bike Shop, with proceeds going to support the Gateway Green capital campaign. Sunday, May 27 7:30 - 9:00 AM Morning Birdwalk at Gateway Green

Join Jim Labbe (Friends of Gateway Green Board member) for a morning bird walk at Gateway Green to explore what species inhabit Gateway Green’s open meadows and forests. We’ll also talk about the status of the Gateway Green project including plans to enhance bird habitat on site. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.
