We've got Oregon Solutions status!

On August 10, 2009, Gateway Green was designated -- by Governor Ted Kulongoski -- as an Oregon Solutions Project.

This is a BIG step forward for Gateway Green! 

Oregon Solutions will facilitate a series of meetings to work out an understanding between the many agencies/organizations involved regarding the development, management and maintenance of the site.  Oregon Solutions will assist the group in the search for funding as well.  In order to designated as an Oregon Solutions project, one agency had to step up and agree to be the lead agency.  Portland Parks & Recreation has agreed to be the lead agency if certain conditions are met in this negotiation process (e.g., that funding sources for maintenance can be identified). The Gateway Green Leadership Team met for the first time, to discuss formation of the Oregon Solutions Team, on Monday, August 23, 2009.
