Saturday, October 8, Noon to 6 pm, "Bikes and Beer in Gateway"

The Outer Rim Bike Shop and Gateway Brewing have teamed up to hold a “Bikes and Beer in Gateway” event the second Saturday of each month, with a portion of the proceeds from beer sales going to a community organization. The October event will be Saturday, October 8, Noon to 6:00 pm at the Outer Rim Bike Shop, with proceeds going to support the Gateway Green capital campaign. Meet Meghan and Barbara, our AmeriCorps Fellows

Meghan and Barbara joined the Gateway Green team in early September. The are participating in the AmeriCorps Fellows program, in partnership with the Confluence Environmental Center.

Meghan will serve as Outreach Coordinator, and Barb as Event Coordinator.

Sunday, May 27 7:30 - 9:00 AM Morning Birdwalk at Gateway Green

Join Jim Labbe (Friends of Gateway Green Board member) for a morning bird walk at Gateway Green to explore what species inhabit Gateway Green’s open meadows and forests. We’ll also talk about the status of the Gateway Green project including plans to enhance bird habitat on site. Wear sturdy shoes and bring binoculars if you have them.

Sunday, April 17 - 9:00 am to 12:00 pm - Spring Clean-Up

Please help us clean the park on a spring morning in good company! We’ll be picking up litter and removing invasive species. Please bring gloves and a bottle of water. 

From the Gateway Transit Center, cross all three MAX tracks, then walk north on the I-205 path—toward Rocky Butte. Look for event signs, and a blue canopy with Gateway Green banner and signs near the path.

FoGG gets $40,000 grant from Oregon Community Foundation

FoGG board members have received notification that the Oregon Community Foundation (OCF) has awarded them a $40,000 grant. In addition, three other donor-advised family funds at OCF have contributed another $37,000 to the project. Many thanks to all of them.

Friends of Gateway Green selected by WW Give!Guide
